Orange Introduces Smaller Top Up Amounts

Orange has introduced a lower top up amount when you top up by swipe card or e-voucher.

For subscribers to the Orange Mobile Network there is now a lower value which you can top up your credit.

Orange has quite appropriately called this option: Tiny Top Ups.

For many networks the minimum top up amount is typically £5.00p, but now Orange have introduced the option to top up using swipe card or e-voucher in amounts of 10p 50p £1.00 £2.00 £3.00 and £4.00p.

This might be quite useful for people who are on a particularly tight budget or who do not use their mobile phone to make many calls, or do not send many text messages, and do not want to tie up £5.00p or more on their phone credit for long lengths of time.

Will other networks join the bandwagon as competition in the mobile phone market hots up ?

Perhaps a good move by Orange as many people are having to watch the pennies with rising costs such as vat and fuel.
