Nomi Mobile Notification

Due to very recent reports that Nomi Mobile may be experiencing Administrative issues, SIMsurprise has taken the step today, 20 May 2011, at least temporarily, to suspend our sales of Nomi Sim cards.

SIMsurprise regularly scours the news for relevant news items that we can pass on to you, our valued visitor.

We have read news from usually reliable sources that Nomi Mobile are experiencing administrative issues.

Part of the issues reportedly involved is that one of Nomi Mobile's partners has withdrawn financial support to Nomi Mobile.

This has included the Nomi financial support partner closing outgoing connections from Nomi SIM Cards - the result of this is that many, if not all, Nomi SIM card users being unable to make outgoing calls - incoming calls are believed to be unaffected at this point.

This is also believed to apply to text messages - no outbound text messages are believed to be able to be sent.

This suspension of Nomi SIM card sales, by SIMsurprise, will remain in force until we are able to confirm these reports, and / or the action taken by Nomi and their partners who are involved in reaching a way forward for Nomi Mobile.

SIMsurprise does not like to take such action but our first and foremost consideration lies with our customers and visitors and with providing you with SIM cards for networks who are subsequently able to provide the service that you are expecting and paying for.

This suspension of the sale of Nomi PAYG Sim cards by SIMsurprise has been taken fully by ourselves and has not been forced upon us, and no request has been made to us, to take this action.

One of our primary objectives is to gain, and maintain, our customer and visitor trust and confidence.

In turn, until SIMsurprise is confident that Nomi Mobile is able to meet their Commitments and Service Expectations, SIMsurprise does not feel it appropriate to knowingly sell a Nomi PAYG Sim card in uncertain circumstances for Nomi Mobile.

Nomi Sim cards have been a popular product for SIMsurprise - perhaps this tells a positive story for Nomi Mobile, therefore our suspension of Nomi sales is a sad one.

SIMsurprise apologises for any disappointment in this step we have taken and hope that this suspension, which we hope will be temporary, is taken in the best interests of you, our visitor and customer, and in the best interests of SIMsurprise.

SIMsurprise hopes that you understand, and appreciate, our position on this matter.

SIMsurprise realises that all users of Nomi Mobile will be concerned for the welfare of not only their capital tied up on Nomi Contracts and Nomi PAYG, but also on your ability to make effective use of Nomi Services, this will also be a difficult time for Nomi who may well be fielding many calls and inquiries from anxious Nomi subscribers.

If you use a Nomi Mobile SIM Card and are on their network perhaps any questions or concerns should be via Nomi Mobile themselves directly through their Contact Nomi form or perhaps via their helpline: 0845 504 9325 from any non-Nomi phone.

SIMsurprise has no direct, or priority, access to Nomi, so any difficulties in getting through to Nomi will be experienced equally by SIMsurprise as any other Nomi customer.

To the best of our knowledge no other network is affected by this event.
